Sjakies is a store where you could spend hours. And then you still haven’t seen it all. They sell countless affordable things for your home and yourself, from special wish cards to colorful boxes and from cool books to yarn in all colors of the rainbow. We love the decorated wardrobe knobs and old style posters. Ah, and they also have an original webpage worth visiting: Sjakies. Enjoy!
De Schatkamer means treasure room in dutch. In this shop you can find furniture from colorful couches to impressive wardrobes. Just as lovely is the way the store has been decorated with, well, decorations. They’re all for sale. Flower pots in recycled material, paper boxes with sweet patterns, accessories for the home, there is a lot of choice there.
De wereld van Jansje
The world of Jansje is a fair trade shop selling affordable design. Their special thing right now is recycled oil drums from Nepal made colorful and ready for decorating homes. Furthermore they sell anything from cute baby bibs to paper vases, and hand made wish cards, most of them with nice patterns. And the coolest thing of all: they support communities in Nepal with a part of their revenue. #goodfeeling
Granted, you can find Dotshop at three locations in Amsterdam, but none of them is, well, in Haarlem! So when in Haarlem walk in for inspirations, because Dotshop is tastefully decorated. Displaying countless design items for your home, they are specialized in lamps, but they have furniture, curtains, and accessories.
