How cool is it, if you visit a museum and it surprises you with masterpieces? It happened to visitors of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. The museum celebrates its 100th birthday (!) this year and secretly flew in 52 (!!) paintings from over the world. One of them is one of my personal favorites (I even have a poster of her in my bedroom): A woman reading a letter by magician, I mean painter, Vermeer. It is borrowed all the way from the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. The museum has not revealed which other paintings are shown.
I suggest, if you live near or happen to visit Minneapolis, to not let this chance pass you by!
